At Nordic Sugar, we have a strong focus on providing competence development opportunities for our employees throughout their employment. We do so for several reasons.


The Nordic Sugar team represents a wealth of knowledge and knowhow whicj is the very foundation of our company success. Ensuring that we constantly develop this unique asset in sync with the challenges we are facing and have the right person in the right position is crucial if we are to achieve our goals. At the same time, we know that the opportunities for personal and professional growth available  in Nordic Sugar are one of the things that makes people choose and stay with us.


Systematic development

We take a systematic approach to competence development. At the annual appraisal interview, which we call ‘the Dialogue’, each employee and his/her immediate superior discuss the company’s goals and needs and the employee’s own wishes for development and attempt to match the two in the best way possible.  The interview results in an employee development plan containing career and competence goals as well as concrete action plans.

  • The roads to personal and professional development with us are many:
    Our Innovation & Technology department runs a wide range of general and specialised technical training programmes
  • We offer project management courses, language training, etc.
  • A large-scale development project at our Swedish sites includes comprehensive and cross-departmental training programme for all employees in project work, organisational culture, participation and communication
  • We support enrolment in external education programmes and courses.
  • Our many interdisciplinary projects offer development opportunities in an international environment
