Use of sugar beet fibre in feed for ruminants has increased significantly in recent years, due to increased knowledge of fibre’s beneficial effects on the function of the rumen (first stomach). It has been discovered that easily digestible beet fibre is a well-balanced feed in the middle ground between the highly concentrated starch in the cereal kernel and the low-digestible fibre in forage and cereal husks.
