Meyers Young Chefs

Meyers Culinary Leisure Scheme for Young Chefs takes place at Meyers Madhus (Meyers House of Food) in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, Denmark. The scheme focuses on awakening children’s curiosity and enjoyment of food, so they have the courage to get involved in the kitchen and taste foods they might not otherwise have tasted. The aim is to give children experiences with food that lead to long-term healthy eating habits.

Nordic Sugar has been involved from the outset, and it has been a proud sponsor of the scheme for 16 years. Our desire was to give children and young people a desire to get involved in the kitchen, teach them to cook and get them to value high quality ingredients.

Chefs Club Latvia

Chefs Club is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation representing Latvian chefs on an international scale by organising the participation of the Latvian Chefs Team in international contests, serving as a professional organisation for all Latvian cooking professionals and giving its members an opportunity to gather and exchange information to improve their own professionalism and knowledge.

Dansukker has worked with Chefs Club since its establishment in 2004. By sponsoring various regional competitions, national chef cooking contests, seminars, masterclasses and many other activities, we have spread expertise in Dansukker products to all levels of cooking professionals. Cooperation with this organisation, as well as direct communication with its members, all of whom are top-class professionals, has resulted in dozens of new recipes for Dansukker products as well as promoting the brand via word-of-mouth.

For many years, we have used “Chefs Club suggests” stickers on a range of our products, giving them additional local value. Every year, Dansukker is among main supporters of the national “Chef of the Year” competition. Mutual benefit serves as a good foundation for future cooperation and the development of new kinds of activities.

Night football (LB07 på stan)

Having a meaningful and active social life is vital, and not least if it can be combined with future career possibilities.  LB07, which is a Swedish professional football club in Malmö, Sweden, started in 2015 to offer night football for adolescents in selected residential areas in Malmö to promote physical activity as well as, in the long run, job training and workshops to reduce the segregation and promote a sustainable network for adolescents’ associations. Nordic Sugar has been sponsoring the night football from the start, since 2015. Today, the night football is well-established in two areas in Malmö: Lindängen and Oxie and will start-up in Arlöv during autumn 2018 . Approx 400 adolescents are participating in the night football arrangements on Friday or Saturday evenings.
